Dan Fette graduated from Texas
A&M in 1983 with a BS in Building Construction and a MS in
Construction Management. After many years of working for others
in the construction industry, Dan started off on his own in 2003
with the desire to build just a few really great houses a year.
That way he could devote his full attention to the project and
give truly memorable service to his customers. Dan's experience
includes managing the construction or directing the remodeling
of well over 100 houses through the years, including the 2004 construction
of the Zero Energy Home in North Texas, that won "Best of
Show" at
the Fall 2004 Greater Dallas Parade of Homes.
Dan currently serves as the Chairman of the Green
Building Committee of the Home Builders Association (HBA) of Greater
Dallas, and as incoming President of the HBA Denton Division.
He is also a member of the Energy & Environmental Building
Association.
At Dan Fette Builders we believe a home should
be light on expense, but heavy on comfort. To be a place of respite
and recharging, a home should certainly service the day to day
functions of living with ease, and incorporate features that refresh
and delight us, but it can do these things and also be designed to
operate at minimum cost. SImilarly, a carefully designed and appointed
house can be a place where we show the greatest care for our environment
through conscientious use of our natural resources tied into its
construction and operation. All of these characteristics distinguish
the kind of project that we like to build. |
